Moroccon authorities informed AFP that three people suspected of supporting Daesh have been arrested in the town of Fnideq, near the Spanish enclave of Ceuta.

Last month, also in Fnideq, police detained two men for allegedly attempting to recruit a young woman to join Daesh via the Internet.

In response to the heightened level if terrorist-related activity in this area,  Spanish police conducted raids, apprehending another five suspects accused of recruiting at least 12 women to travel to Iraq or Syria, most of them from the Spanish North African enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla.
