TechnoPark attracts global interest at the Chem Middle East 2008
TechnoPark, the science and technology facilitator of Economic Zones World generated considerable interest among visitors, at the recently held Chem Middle East 2008 exhibition, Middle East’s exclusive trade event for the Chemical, Petrochemical, Chemical Process Technology, Corrosion Control and Management Industries.
The three-day exhibition featured major companies from 24 countries in the fields of Chemicals, Petrochemicals & Process Technology and shed light on the trends and growth of the multi-billion dollar Market.
The projected growth of the Middle East Petrochemical Industry currently stands at 15 percent per annum. This growth is primarily visible in gas-based petrochemicals like methanol and ethylene.
The UAE is investing heavily in its petrochemical industry, and will see capacity increase threefold, opening up new opportunities in the downstream and end-use processing sector.
TechnoPark, the principal technology park in the Middle East, is currently focused on research, development and studies in the field of the country's core economic sectors viz. energy, desalination and water resource management, environmental resource management and technology-driven knowledge-based industrial development.
