Stampede kills 1 person, injures 8 others in Jordan

ALBAWABA - One person was killed, and eight others were injured and taken to the hospital early Tuesday morning in a stampede inside the Hashemite Plaza, according to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate.

The spokesperson first said nine people were hospitalized before announcing that one of the injured succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival at the medical center. The person was transferred to the forensic medicine department to determine the exact cause of death.

Meanwhile, the remaining injured individuals received the necessary medical treatment, and their conditions were reported as stable and moderate.
