An official delegation from The National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) recently held a meeting with H.E. Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed previously between Tanmia and the Ajman Government - represented by the Executive Council - to maximise employment opportunities for UAE Nationals residing in Ajman.

During the meeting, H.E. Sheikh Rashid commended Tanmia’s continued efforts in training, recruiting and developing the skills of UAE Nationals, and expressed his willingness to support the employment authority in its forthcoming initiatives. He also requested Tanmia to conduct a comprehensive study of Ajman’s labour market.

The Tanmia delegation comprised of Feddah Lootah, Acting General Manager; Noora El Bedour, Manager of Employment & Skills Development Center and Mohammed Khalifa, Director of External Relations. The meeting was also attended by Harib Al Eryani, Chairman of Ajman “Land Department”.

“Tanmia is committed to maximizing job opportunities for Nationals across the country, and we have increased our focus on the Northern emirates in recent years. The emirate of Ajman has been witnessing significant growth of late, presenting numerous avenues for employment in both the public and private sectors. In cooperation with the Ajman Government, Tanmia is determined to ensure that UAE Nationals in Ajman are able to take full advantage of these opportunities in the emirate,” said Feddah Lootah.

“Our meeting with H.E. Sheikh Rashid has enabled the immediate activation of the MoU we have signed with the Government of Ajman, and we are looking forward to working closely with them to achieve our common emiratisation goals and help the UAE National jobseekers,” she added.

As per the terms of the MoU, Tanmia and the Ajman Government, represented by the Executive Council, will work together to train and facilitate recruitment of Nationals residing in Ajman. Tanmia will make its database available to the Ajman Government, while the Authority’s Center for Career Guidance and Planning (CCGP) will offer its services to ensure that National jobseekers in Ajman benefit from proper career guidance and advice. The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will support Tanmia by providing details of private and public sector companies registered with it, and in the Department of Economy and Ajman Municipality. Moreover, the Ajman Government will urge private sector companies operating in the emirate to coordinate with Tanmia to help find suitable jobs for Nationals.
