The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) confirmed the deaths in a statement on Thursday, adding that the soldiers were killed in an attack by the Taliban militants.
The statement did not refer to the troopers’ nationalities and the exact location of the attack.
The Taliban have ramped up their attacks on the US-led troops across Afghanistan nearly 13 years after the US-led invasion of the country in 2001.
The latest casualties bring the number of foreign troopers killed in Afghanistan to 53 this year.
Nearly 50,000 NATO-led coalition troops, down from the peak of 130,000 in 2010, are stationed in Afghanistan, and the United States plans to trim its forces to less than 10,000 next year.
The United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan in 2001 as part of Washington’s so-called war on terror. The offensive removed the Taliban from power, but years into the invasion, the country is still grappling with widening insecurity.
