Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has canceled his visit to Iran, officials in the Iranian president's office said Wednesday.
President Assad was expected to arrive in Tehran later in the day to discuss the looming Iraqi crisis with Iranian President Mohamad Khatami.
"President Assad's visit to Iran has been canceled," a senior official in the office of Iran's president told The Associated Press. (Albawaba.com)
