Russia sent an additional 25 armored trucks and 50 other vehicles to Syria Monday to help Damascus transport its chemical weapons out of the country for destruction, according to Reuters.
Government officials will allegedly use the vehicles to move toxins to the port city of Latakia where they will be transferred to Scandinavian sea veseels for later destruction as specified under the international agreement signed earlier this year between Syria and UN world powers.
Russia has previously sent 50 Kamaz trucks and 25 Ural armour to Latakia earlier this month to aid in the transfer of the chemical weapon arsenal.
