Some 400 Syrians crossed into the Kingdom early Monday, the Jordan Armed Forces said, raising the total number of new arrivals over the past 72 hours to over 1,000.

Meanwhile, Damascus allegedly intensified its 10-week aerial offensive across southern Syria, reportedly endangering the lives of thousands of displaced civilians seeking to cross into Jordan.

The rebel Free Syrian Army claims that over 170 refugees have lost their lives in Damascus’ ongoing military offensive across southern Syria, which has closed off major access routes to Jordan and cut off dozens of towns and villages from humanitarian aid.
