ALBAWABA - A Moroccan content creator ignited fury and anger across the country after posting a clip of himself cooking and eating a dog, whom he found dead on the road, during Eid al-Adha.
Bn Nsns, who is followed by more than 2.2 million people on YouTube, appeared before the court in Morocco over the video he shared and sparked widespread anger.
The Moroccan judiciary began on Monday the first session of the trial of the famous content creator known as "Bn Nsns", following his posting of a video clip on his YouTube channel, in which he appeared to be roasting a dog after its death, coinciding with Eid al-Adha.
The start of the trial sessions for the Moroccan influencer comes a day after the decision of the King's Prosecutor (Public Prosecution) at the Court of First Instance in Temara to try him while in detention, after a number of animal rights associations in Morocco demanded an urgent judicial investigation and questioning of "Bn Nsns" and prosecuting him on charges of publishing shocking and disgusting digital content that falls under the purview of the criminal law and affects the public peace of citizens.
The person had sparked widespread anger on social media in Morocco after posting a video clip that exceeded 41 minutes in length, in which he documented taking a dog that had died as a result of a traffic accident on the road, before proceeding to skin it and prepare it for eating.
