A slick new video from extremist group, the Islamic State, shows a detailed massacre of the Syrian army's 93rd brigade in Raqqa, including aerial views, gun battles and the execution of military soldiers according to Channel 4 News.
Although the footage has not yet been independently verified, graphic footage from the video shows Bashar al-Assad’s soldiers being beheaded, along with bloody images of disfigured corpses, allegedly run over by a tank.
The video also includes speeches by jihadi fighters, where they call on God to grant them victory against Assad’s Shia army.
The latest IS video follows the beheading of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff.
The UN’s newly appointed Syria envoy, Staffan de Mistura, is expected to meet Bashar al-Assad during his trip to the country.
