Following international peace talks with world powers in Vienna over the weekend, US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday said Syria could be weeks away from a "big transition," AFP reported.
"We are weeks away conceivably from the possibility of a big transition for Syria," Kerry said during a press conference following talks with French President Francois Hollande in Paris.
"We have found a common agreement on principles (and) established a concept of giving life to a negotiation with Iran and Russia at the table, which is unique in the last four and a half years," Kerry added.
Th conflict in Syria has claimed the lives of 250,000 people and displaced millions over the span of nearly five years.
