ALBAWABA - The Swiss Federal Government made an official statement that it had declared Hamas a "terrorist organization" along with all its affiliate organizations.
The announcement assured that the ban will not affect the flow of humanitarian aid in Gaza, with the ongoing Israeli war.
The statement added that "the ban gives the Swiss authorities the necessary tools to take action against any Hamas activities or support for the organization in Switzerland,".
Earlier this year, the Federal Council announced opening consultation for drafting legislation to ban Hamas. The council then stated that "The ban will also include Hamas cover and successor organizations as well as organizations that act on its behalf or in its name".
"Enabling law enforcement services to impose preventative police measures such as entry bans or expulsion orders more easily and effectively;" the Federal Law states.
