A drone believed to be American crashed in the central Yemeni province of Marib, AFP reports.
The aircraft hit the Wadi Abida district, which is a primary battleground between Shia Houthi militants and tribesmen backed by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
“The aircraft was not armed with missiles,” a tribal leader told AFP.
Washington has continued a long term drone battle against Al-Qaeda in the country.
