Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad and Brunei’s Sultan Hassan Al-Balqiah held talks on means of expanding relations of cooperation between Syria and the Sultanate of Brunei.
The two sides expressed hope that the Sultan’s visit would strengthen bilateral cooperation in the political, cultural, social and economic fields between both countries. The discussions were attended by Syria's Vice-Presidents, Prime Minister, Ministers of Health, Awqaf, Interior, Economy and Foreign Trade and by the accompanying official delegation of Brunei, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency on Monday.
President al-Assad, along with senior Syrian officials attended the reception in honor of Sultan Balqiah at the Damascus International Airport. The Sultan is due to hold several meetings and talks with Syrian officials during his three-day visit to the country.
The Sultan is accompanied by an official delegation which includes the Sultan's special advisor, Issa Bin Ibrahim, Interior Minister Alaa Al -Din Bin Abu Bakr, Grand Secretary General Hasnan Ben Ahmad, Director of the
Sultan's voyage Abdel Aziz Bin Juneid, Mufti of Sultan of Brunei Mohamad Nawawi Bin Mohamad Taha, Special Secretary of the Sultan Hussein Bin Ahmad, Amabassador of Brunei in Amman and the permanent secretary of the ministry of foreign affairs. (Albawaba.com)
