Turkish authorities stated PKK rebels rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into a military police station, killing two soldiers and injuring 24 others, reports Associated Press.
The PKK fighters rigged an agricultural vehicle with two tons of explosives before driving it into the police station located on a highway near the town of Dogubayazit in Agri province.
This is just the latest incident of violence between Turkish government forces and the Kurdish rebels.
Despite signing a peace agreement in 2012, Turkey has been pounding PKK targets in northern Iraq, killing nearly 260 rebels.
