It took a couple of days, but Mashaka Ahmed Nzoka proved an informant right when he excreted 86 packets of heroin while in police custody in Tanzania.
Anti-drug unit head Esaka Mugasa said the 23-year-old Tanzanian was arrested on Monday shortly after arriving at Dar es Salaam airport from Bombay.
"Nzoka had a Somali passport and was on transit to Entebbe in Uganda. We arrested him after a tip-off, and on interrogation, we learnt that he was a Tanzanian.
"He was forced to purge and had by Wednesday afternoon excreted 86 packets of the drugs, which he swallowed before boarding the Air India plane," Mugasa said.
The heroin weighed some 800 grammes -- DAR ES SALAAM (AFP)
