ALBAWABA- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) announced that six of its employees were killed in two Israeli airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, marking the largest loss of UNRWA staff in a single attack since the war began.

Earlier, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the Israeli military conducted heavy bombardments on the camp, hitting a school where displaced families had sought refuge.

The Director General of Gaza’s Ministry of Health informed Al Jazeera that Israeli forces have carried out four massacres in the past 24 hours.

Medical sources further confirmed that 32 people have been killed in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on central and southern Gaza since early Wednesday.

The intensifying strikes have added to the mounting toll of civilian casualties as Gaza faces an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Thousands of displaced Palestinians are currently sheltering in Gaza’s schools, many of which have been damaged or destroyed by airstrikes.

The al-Jaouni Boys Preparatory School, managed by UNWRA, has been repeatedly hit during the ongoing conflict.

Israel maintains that Hamas uses civilian structures, including schools, as cover for military operations, while aid organizations report that over 90% of Gaza’s schools have been severely impacted by the strikes.
