Shoppers gather at Mercato as Surprising Millions gears up for the final draw next week

Excited shoppers gathered at Mercato shopping mall to celebrate the eighth weekly raffle draw of Surprising Millions campaign which ends on August 14, 2009.

Ten shoppers were selected to receive AED 50,000 each in cash and gift vouchers.  The winners were: Noora Al Noumi from Qatar, A. Malhotra from India, Omar Saed Adel from Jordan, Esmat Fahmy from Egypt, Sheila Mae Letigo from Philippines, Nelson Maan from Venezeula, Diano Mino from Italy, Leena Fawaz from the UAE, Abdulla Al Dakil from KSA and Noura Al Hashimi from the UAE.

This is the first time that Surprising Millions campaign has had winners from Italy and Venezeula.

Diano Mino, the Italian winner said: “I am so excited at the news, this is absolutely fantastic! I received the raffle coupons when shopping for my daughter and son. My daughter just celebrated her birthday and my son completed his graduation. I bought gifts for both of them and now I can buy more presents for them, it is a true celebration!”

Another winner, A. Malhotra from India received the raffle coupons while doing his holiday shopping. “I am going to India this week with my family and this is a good opportunity to do more shopping before we leave. I can’t believe I won! DSS with its shopping deals and winning opportunities is a fantastic event and the entertainment activities brings the city alive.”

The raffle draws, which are part of Dubai Shopping Malls Group’s campaign for Dubai Summer Surprises, started on June 11th and the last draw is scheduled for next Thursday at Modhesh World, Airport Expo.

All shoppers spending a minimum amount of AED 200 at malls participating in the Surprising Millions campaign can enter the weekly raffle draws. They can also double their chances of winning by using MasterCard credit cards for their purchases.

Surprising Millions campaign has participation from twenty three Dubai based malls which include Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair City, Al Manal Centre, Al Mulla Plaza, Arabian Center, Bur Juman, Century Mall, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Marina Walk, Dubai Outlet Mall, Gold & Diamond Park, Ibn Batutta Mall, Lamcy Plaza, Mazaya Center, Mercato Mall, Oasis Centre, Reef Mall, Souk Al Bahar, The Dubai Mall, Town Centre, Time Square Centre and WAFI Mall.
