Defense attorney Jalila al-Sayed, a lawyer for the head of Bahrain's leading Shiite opposition group, said Sheikh Salman denied all charges against him, reports the Associated Press.

Sheikh Salman stands accused of “promoting regime change by force, threats, and illegal means, and of insulting the Interior Ministry publicly,” said Bahraini prosecutor Nayef Mahmud.

AP reports Sheikh Salman will remain behind bars until his next court hearing on February 25th.
