SEILER CELEBRATES 150 YEARS OF SWISS STYLE

Switzerland’s Seiler hotel group is celebrating its 150th anniversary this summer by extending a special offer to Middle East travelers looking for stylish European break.
Seiler is offering a complimentary night’s stay at any one of its prestigious hotels, which means for the entire summer season, guests booking at least five nights will only pay for four.
The offer is available between June and September at five hotels located in the car-free village of Zermatt, which is nestled in the Swiss Alps and overlooked by the domineering beautiful Matterhorn mountain.
The hotel consortium offer accommodation and a range of activities to suit all budget and tastes. Guests can choose from good family hotels like the Seiler Hotel Nicoletta or simply get away from it all at the high altitude and high style Riffelalp Resort located at 2222m above sea level.
Ski and snow-board enthusiasts can enjoy the high altitude slopes (over 3,800 metres) even in summer as the area maintains 21 kilometres of well-marked and safe pistes during most of July and August.
Now in its fourth generation of Seiler family management, the group has worked hard to maintain the tradition and charm that hotel patrons have become accustomed to, while inviting new investments and developments to ensure upkeep of the highest standards.
Four hours from Zurich and three hours from Geneva by car, the chocolate-box style Zermatt resort has a special transport system all of its own – the Glacier Express.
Also celebrating a significant anniversary this year, the Glacier Express took its inaugural journey from St Moritz to Zermatt 75 years ago on 22 June 1930 – it took 11 hours.
Today, the Glacier Express is one of the most famous trains in the world with an average of 250,000 passengers a year.  To celebrate 75 years of history, a new travel package has been developed to incorporate the stunning, panoramic journey through the Alps with a visit to the alpine museum and stays at the Seiler hotels.
