(Nasdaq: SCUR), a leading enterprise gateway security provider, has announced that its award-winning SmartFilter Web filtering solution has been integrated to network security and performance management solutions provider Cymtec Systems’ Cymtec Sentry data threat protection (DTP) engine. The partnership is intended to enhance network security and performance management for remote and branch office (RBO) environments.
The combination of Cymtec Sentry and the SmartFilter internet filter database provides an additional level of security to solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software. This innovative unified RBO protection provides a simple, cost-effective method for preventing the uncontrolled spreading of infections that overcome perimeter and host defenses.
