Saudi labor officials and economic analysts have warned of the dangerous effects on unemployment among Saudi youths because small private businesses still insist on employing expatriates, the Gulf News reported Tuesday.
Mohammed Habib, head of the Research Department in the Labor Council was quoted by the daily as saying the main reasons for importing labor is the ease with which the workers are brought into the kingdom and "the low wages they accept" which Saudis would not.
The small-size businesses, classified as such because they employ less than 20 people, represent a whopping 97 percent of the private sector in Saudi Arabia, Habib said -- Albawaba.com
