Saudi Arabia's new seventh five-year plan (2000-05) has focussed on the entry of more Saudi nationals into the workforce and a greater role for the private sector, the Gulf News reported Thursday.
The plan, the paper said, expects to create 328,600 new jobs to meet development needs and increase total employment from 7.17 million workers to 7.5 million workers. Employment in the non-oil sector is expected to increase from 6.16 million to 6.47 million -- Albawaba.com
