The High Court in London on Thursday ordered Saudi state oil company Aramco to pay 2.4 billion dollars in damages to a British former employee left paralyzed by a road accident.
Proceedings for compensation were started in the United States in 1991, but the case was thrown out three years later on a technicality and later resumed in Britain.
Albert Bentley, 59, from Kent, southern England, broke his back when a taxi taking him to Dhahran airport in January 1990 overturned - LONDON (AFP)
