Saudi Arabia's interior minister, Prince Nayef bin Abdel Aziz, arrived Saturday in Yemen for a meeting on the two countries' border delineation, reported the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
It said that the minister is due Sunday to co-chair with his Yemeni counterpart, Hussein Mohammed Arab, the Saudi-Yemeni joint committee that is assigned to implement the bilateral border demarcation treaty.
Speaking on his arrival, AFP quoted the Saudi minister as saying that the countries' joint commission "has accomplished a great step in the application" of their border agreement.
The accord, signed in June, put to rest several decades of contention by establishing the delineation of the countries' 1,350 kilometer (800-mile) border, said AFP.
In late October, Saudi Arabia and Yemen chose the German firm Hansa Luftbild to mark the border.
