Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al Faiysal begins on Monday an official one-day visit to the United Kingdom, for bilateral and regional talks, reported the official Kuwait News agency (KUNA).

Price Faisal will hold talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and a number of other British officials, said the agency.

The talks will focus on several issues, including the situation in the Middle East and the efforts exerted to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinians, as well as means to bring the fighting parties to peace negotiations, said KUNA.

Talks will also cover the situation in the Gulf region, especially issues concerning Iraq, in addition to efforts to bolster existing relations between Saudi Arabia and Britain.

Bilateral ties between the two countries will also top the agenda of Faisal’s talks with British officials.

Trade exchange between the two countries reached 10.5 billion riyals ($2.8 billion) in 1999, said KUNA – Albawaba.com
