Two trains collide in Denmark, injuring several people

ALBAWABA - A train collision occurred on Thursday left several people injured in Denmark, Ekstra Bladet reported, citing emergency services.

According to the police report, the accident left around five to ten people injured. The condition of the injured is currently unknown, Ekstra Bladet also mentioned.

The accident occurred between the towns of Hillerod and Kagerup, about 40 kilometers from Copenhagen. 

The police arrived at the scene of the accident and announced the statement, "We are present on the train line between Hillerød and Kagerup at Isterødvejen, where a major train accident has occurred. Two trains have collided, and we are massively present with police and rescue services."

The statement added, "The road section between Isterødvejen and Kagerup is closed and is expected to be closed for an extended period of time. We ask motorists to respect the closures. We cannot provide any further information at this time, but will continuously update the situation on this page."

The cause of the collision is unknown, but a probe is underway to determine the circumstances.
