Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdelaziz arrives Sunday in Morocco on the last leg of a tour that has taken him to Syria, Germany and Sweden.
The prince will hold talks with King Mohammed and other senior Moroccan officials on the Middle East and ways to boost bilateral ties, especially in the fields of trade and economy, according to the official Maghrebe Arab Presse (MAP).
The crown prince will arrive in Rabat, coming from Stockholm where he held talks with Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson and Sweden's heir apparent Princess Victoria, said the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The agency said that talks focused on increasing trade volume between the two countries.
The crown prince stressed the kingdom’s determination to be integrated into the international trade order, said SPA.
He explained that the kingdom had applied to join the Trade World Organization (WTO) and had signed various bilateral agreements with trade partners.
"We realize that joining the organization requires living up to a number of obligations and we want the others to recognize our right, that our joining will be just and will achieve our economic interests," he said.
He added that that the kingdom had adopted a comprehensive policy for economic reform and chosen a privatization policy as a strategic option to provide economic incentives, enhance private sector and increase capacity and productivity, SPA added – Albawaba.com.
