ALBAWABA - Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement responding to the latest declaration by US President Donald Trump that Riyadh didn't request the establishment of a Palestinian state as a condition for a peace deal with Israel.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed that the country's position on the establishment of a "Palestinian state is firm and unwavering."
It added: "Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister clearly and unequivocally reaffirmed this stance during his speech at the opening of the first session of the ninth term of the Shura Council on Sept. 18, 2024."

The statement further noted that Riyadh will continue its effort until an independent Palestinian state is established with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministry also rejected any possible normalization with Israel until a Palestinian state is formed.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry statement stressed what the Kingdom had previously announced regarding its absolute rejection of any infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through Israeli settlement policies, annexation of Palestinian lands, or efforts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.
