Samsung Electronics announced that it had released a brand-new inkjet multi-printer SCX-1650 series that has a USB direct function to enable printing and scanning of documents without using a PC.

The inkjet multi-printer SCX-1650 series uses the USB direct function, a first among Samsung’s inkjet multi-printer series, thus, shortening the time necessary for printing, scanning and copying.

By adopting the USB direct function, which had been applied only to Samsung’s laser printer models, the SCX-1650 series can allow users to print or scan without a PC, as well as, to save the scanned image onto USB memories.

Plus, the users also can read or print images and save them in such frequently used image formats as TIFF, BMP and JPEG.

With an identification card copy button, the SCX-1650 series enables users to print both sides of the card by simply pressing the button once.

With a high resolution rate of 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, the SCX-1650 series makes your printing jobs faster and easier. It has a fast printing speed of up to 30 black and white pages or 24 color pages per minute.

Once mounted with a Bluetooth dongle, offered as an option, the SCX-1650 series can wirelessly receive files from other Bluetooth-embedded mobile phones or notebook PCs.

The SCX-1650 series is also applied with the PictBridge technology. It can be connected through a USB port to other PictBridge-compliant video devices such as digital cameras, camcorders and camera phones, allowing users to print images taken by such devices without a PC.
