The "A360" Association and the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) are organizing a series of cultural events, entitled "Saharan Encounters", which will be held in Paris from May 9 to 13.
These events will take place in the framework of UNESCO's project, "The Sahara of cultures and peoples", which aims at fighting poverty through strategies of durable development, based on the safeguarding of the cultural and natural inheritances of the Sahara. The project is part of the United Nations' objective for the Millennium, to fight poverty.
<i>EMarrakech</i> reports that the "Saharan Encounters" planned events include numerous exhibitions, workshop-debates, conferences, concerts and documentary films projections.
