SAE Institute announces its upcoming 1-day photography course with the renowned New York Times photographer, Bryan Denton.  The short course is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 16th June from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the SAE Institute premises in Dubai Knowledge Village.
Bryan Denton is a photographer consistently working for The New York Times, who has recently completed high profile assignments in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.  Based in Beirut, Lebanon, Bryan graduated from the New York University in 2005 and launched his career covering news, conflicts and social issues with focus on the Middle East.
Mr. Marco Bettelli, Managing Director SAE Institute Asia Pacific and Middle East commented, “With the UAE’s media and advertising industries quickly progressing, the demand for professional photography is growing at a similar rate.  We are extremely pleased at having Bryan Denton, a highly acclaimed figure in the photography world accepting our invitation to share his expertise with our students.  We believe in sourcing only field experts to lecture and teach at the SAE Institute and look forward to a considerable turnout.”
The short photography course is a combination of creative and technical, hands-on training and sets out to teach beginners and hobby photographers the skill behind making digital photographs look better and more dramatic.  Participants will be requested to bring their own cameras to learn the professional way to handle and control a camera.
For a nominal fee of AED 700, plus AED 100 registration fee, the course covers many topics in the short space of the day and guarantees a more knowledgeable approach to photography.  Topics include: exploring the shooting modes on a camera; artistic composition and how to improve photographic technique; understanding focus and how it is related to an image; understanding lenses; what apertures do and why they are there;  depth of field and the easy steps to master this technique; and shutter speeds and how they vary.  In addition the course aims to educate students on how to use light creatively; importance of flash and colour temperature, as well as how to perfect shooting close-ups.
SAE Institute recently participated in the Gulf Photo Plus 2007, the international digital photography event held at Dubai Knowledge Village.  As a part of the event, SAE Institute held successful workshops which were designed to offer the perfect solution to those seeking a quick and better understanding of Modern Digital Desktop Film Making.  SAE Institute continues to take a leading role in providing fundamental education in the media and advertising sectors and is constantly sourcing talent from the neighboring regions to lecture their students.
