Ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's daughters might want to move to Britain if they were granted visas, but state they have no plans to seek asylum there, according to the Sunday Telegraph.
Last week, The Sun reported that sisters Raghad, 35, and Rana Hussein, 33, were planning to apply for asylum in the northern English city of Leeds.
However, Raghad, who remains in hiding in Iraq with her sister, told the Telegraph that their plans had been misunderstood.
"We do not want to apply for asylum as that would not be appropriate for us, " she told the paper through a family intermediary. "But we would like to visit Britain and possibly live there if we were granted visas." (Albawaba.com)
