Russian police detains Igor Kirillov suspect killer

ALBAWABA - According to Russia's security service, a 29-year-old Uzbek man has been captured in connection with the killing of senior general Igor Kirillov and his assistant in Moscow.

Lt Gen Kirillov and another Russian servicemember, believed to be his personal assistant, were killed in an explosion outside the entrance to a residential building in Moscow early on December 17.

The Russian Investigative Committee is initiating a criminal inquiry into the incident. The committee reported that the explosion was triggered by a bomb placed on a scooter near the building's entrance.
