Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nu'aimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, received Dr. George Joseph, the Consul General for India, in his office yesterday in Ajman, reported the Emirates News Agency. Dr. Joseph came to greet Sheikh Humaid in honor of the beginning of his tenure in the UAE.
The Consulate General of India in Dubai focuses on facilitating the extensive trade ties between the Emirates and India, and on providing services for Indian expatriates. The Consulate General is also the hub for servicing Indian delegations transiting Dubai to Iran, West Asia and Africa. In the year 2000, about 600 official delegations were handled by the Consulate General.
Recieving the Indian Consul General at Sheikh Humaid’s office were also Sheikh Majid bin Saeed Al Nu'aimi, Minister of State for Supreme Council Affairs and Chief of the Ajman Emiri Court, and Sheikh Mansour bin Nasir Al Nu'aimi, Director of the Ruler's Office. (www.albawaba.com)
