ALBAWABA- At least 27 civilians were killed and dozens injured in a brutal attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on towns in Al-Qatinah, White Nile State.
Survivors describe a scene of horror, with bodies scattered in homes and streets, particularly in Al-Kadaris village.
In addition to the killings, the RSF reportedly abducted a large number of civilians, whose fate remains unknown.
The ongoing violence has triggered mass displacement from Al-Qatinah and surrounding villages, especially south and west of Jabal Awliya locality, as civilians flee the rising atrocities and violations committed by the RSF.
Notably, the Sudanese army has significantly advanced in Khartoum and Khartoum Bahri, particularly in Kafouri, the last major Rapid Support Forces (RSF) stronghold in Bahri.
Troops have successfully retaken the Pearl Housing Project and are now pushing towards the entrance of the Soba East Bridge.
The military's objective is to secure the East Nile locality's center, a critical step in regaining full control of Khartoum.
While broader military operations have slowed over the past four days, intense clashes persist in Kafouri, which has remained a heavily fortified RSF position since the conflict erupted in April 2023.
