ALBAWABA- The Sudanese army is making significant progress in Kafouri, the last stronghold of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Khartoum Bahri.

The Sudanese army has successfully regained control of the Pearl Housing Project and is now advancing towards the entrance of the Soba East Bridge.

The military's push aims to reach the East Nile locality's center, a key move in regaining control of the capital.

Despite a lull in broader military operations over the past four days, heavy clashes continue in Kafouri, a fortified RSF stronghold since the conflict's onset in April 2023.

On Tuesday, the Sudanese army gained control of key areas within Kafouri, including the fifth and seventh residential squares, as fighting shifted to the sixth and eighth squares.

RSF forces retreated westward towards the industrial area and south towards Square 12. Videos released by the army showed the capture of RSF weapons, ammunition, and combat vehicles during the ongoing battle.
