Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and the support of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, and under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman of Royal Jet, the luxury aircraft service provider based in the UAE has expanded its fleet by the acquisition of a Bombardier Challenger (CL300). The delivery was signed by Christopher Crum, President & Chief Executive Officer, Royal Jet and Jaheed Fazal-Karim World Wide Vice President Sales, Bombardier, in a ceremony held at the Royal Jet Chalet at the Dubai Air Show.

“Royal Jet has witnessed considerable rise in demand for luxury air charter service,” said His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman, Royal Jet. “Royal Jet has maintained steady growth and profitability since its launch in 2003 and we are very aware that in this industry, it is vital to have the resources necessary for satisfying our customers and meeting all their luxury travel needs. In our efforts to continuously provide the best and the latest in air travel, adding the Bombardier Challenger (CL300) to our fleet highlights our continuous expansion plans for Royal Jet.”

The Bombardier Challenger (CL300) aircraft is a new generation aircraft designed to deliver best-of-class value in the super midsize business jet category, it includes 6 luxurious VIP seats and a three-seater divan. With an 8.72m long cabin designed to provide a highly productive working environment for travellers with a well-appointed luxury interior, the CL300 has been rated as a high performance jet best suited for regional, short sector, or multi-stop itineraries. It is a convenient aircraft for elites wishing to travel short excursions within the GCC and Middle East, Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. The CL300’s ability to take off and land in shorter runways gives it greater access to smaller airports worldwide.

An active leader in the air charter and services industry, Royal Jet hosted the first Middle East Business Aviation Conference (MEBA), a Royal Jet initiative launched to examine the growing needs of the business jet sector. MEBA was held on November 19, 2005, under the dual patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of Royal Jet.
