Two Emirati youths knocked a Palestinian driver unconscious with a sword after he overtook their car, putting him in intensive care, a newspaper reported Sunday.
One of the Emiratis lunged with the sword at the throat of the man, whose thumb was severed as he tried to protect himself, the Khaleej Times said.
The second youth then picked up the sword and hit him on the head, leaving a deep wound, the daily said quoting an official from the public prosecutor's office in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah.
People who had stopped to watch the altercation on the highway between the emirate and Dubai called the police who arrested the attackers – ABU DHABI (AFP)
