R&M reveals expansion plans, new products and forecast for Middle East @ GITEX 2007
For the eighth consecutive year, Reichle & De-Massari will be making their presence felt at Gitex Dubai 2007. Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) is an independent Swiss company with over 40 years experience in the information and communication technology market developing, manufacturing and providing award winning cabling solutions to enterprise businesses. They are looking to build on and expand relationships with key businesses in the market during the show, as well as penetrating and developing further the MEA region’s Enterprise and Carrier Market.
The Middle East region is considered one of the fastest growing regions for R&M, where sales have increased by more than 70 percent in 2006. As a result, the R&M operation in the MEA region is experiencing considerable expansion and increase in resources. These new expansion plans will be revealed at GITEX along with R&M’s forecasts and ongoing strategy for the MEA as well as their latest key regional customers.
The highly motivated Middle East based R&M team have succeeded in bringing together not only an uncompromising quality philosophy but also an international presence with high availability, even with increasing market demands. They pride themselves on continuing this level of functionality as a provider in the high-end sector, successfully asserting their quality advantage.
“Participating in Gitex has been very rewarding for us in the past as we experienced great responses and sales over the years directly as a result of the show. The exhibition has been a great opportunity to further strengthen R&M’s brand awareness and positioning throughout the Middle East region,” said Laurent Amestoy, Regional Managing Director, R&M Middle East & India. “We are taking part in GITEX once again this year, to primarily support our partners as well as promote our latest advanced and innovative cabling solutions which cater to the growing demand for modern data and communications networks solutions in this region.”
“In addition to R&M’s existing wide range of products mentioned above, a new advanced R&M technology will be launched for the first time in the region at Gitex,” added Laurent.
The main focus for R&M at Gitex Dubai 2007 will revolve around their 10 Gigabit Ethernet solutions, considered a new dimension for local data networks influenced by the growing demand for top performance IT infrastructures by key customers in the region.
R&M will showcase Enterprise Cabling, a cabling systems for enterprise networks, computer centers and similar applications. Alongside this is Carrier Cabling for large network operators and telecommunications companies. Copper technology is experiencing an upswing for two reasons: emerging markets are modernizing their telephone networks, while industrialized countries believe in copper solutions for the expansion of broadband infrastructures. Additionally, fiber optic cabling is being used more to implement sophisticated new services, such as Triple Play and Internet television.
For RJ45 patch cords on the market, Patch Guard is the first lockable plug-out protection. More than 40,000 Patch Guards have been installed across a wide portfolio of customers in the region. This product from R&M expands the third step of the modular R&M security system. It features an intelligent plug-out protection, locking mechanism and authorization solution. RJ45 connections can now be locked at the jack as well as on the cable. Additional levels of the R&M security system allow colour and mechanical coding of the network connections and help to avoid erroneous patching.
