Riyadh: One Kuwaiti killed, three Saudis injured in shoot out

Two Saudi policemen searching for criminals in a Riyadh apartment building were wounded in a Friday shoot out, which also killed a Kuwaiti bystander, a Saudi security official said.  

 

The security official told The Associated Press that the officers broke down a door to an apartment they suspected people wanted for various crimes may be hiding out.  

 

People inside the apartment, located in the Riyadh suburb of Massiyaf, fired gun shots at the officers, injuring one in the leg and the other in the foot, the official said.  

 

At least four attackers escaped into the corridor where further shots were fired. A Kuwaiti man, Fayez Abdullah Rashid Zoghby, who opened his door on hearing the noise was killed. Another Saudi bystander was wounded. (Akbawaba.com)
