Winds of more than 90 kilometers an hour in Syria Sunday left five dead and more than 100 wounded, the Tishrin newspaper reported Monday.
The winds caused damage to property, tore down trees and satellite dishes and cut electricity, paralyzing traffic in many parts of the country. A crane weighing 200 tons overturned on three buildings in downtown Damascus, but no casualties were reported.
