Armed Palestinian in the West Bank have been trying to increase the destructive impact of their roadside bombs by filling them with poisonous materials, according to Haaretz newspaper, quoting the Army Radio.
The report said that poisonous materials were found in one explosive device on the road between the West Bank Jewish settlements of Elon Moreh and Itamar in Nablus. Security sources were quoted as saying that the bombers' intention was for poison-soaked pieces of shrapnel to penetrate the body, so that it would increase the damage to those hit.
A number of bomb explosions targeted Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip and West Bank as well as areas inside Israel since the outbreak of the Intifada.
The latest attack was on Monday when a booby-trapped car injured at least 35 people in Netanya, north of Israel -- Albawaba.com
