Qatar’s telecom company, Q-TEL, has announced free connection for eight of its services until April 12 in a promotion offer.
A Q-Tel press release, quoted by Gulf Times, said customers can during this period have free connection for a normal telephone line (residential and business), integrated services digital network (ISDN - BRA), caller line identification (CLI), follow me, call waiting, call barring (international), Q-Account and conference call.
Customers can activate any of these services by calling 111, Q-Tel. "No paperwork is involved," a company spokesman was quoted as saying.
However, the rental charges are not covered under the free offer, said the release.
Q-Tel has a monopoly over the telecom sector in the Gulf emirate sector, having exclusive rights to provide telecommunications services, including domestic and international fixed line, and mobile telecommunications services.
