The heir to the British throne is on a six-day Middle Eastern trip, and for Jordan he comes bearing good news.
Prince Charles met with King Abdullah II and visited Syrian refugees in Jordan Sunday, according to the AP, to campaign for those who have been affected by the conflict.
AP reported the prince came with Britain's international development minister, Justine Greening, who said in a statement the UK will pay an additional $150 million to help displaced Syrians in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq.
More than 3 million Syrians have fled from the conflict since it started four years ago, and many host countries have been strained by the residents. Jordan's Zaatari Camp holds over 800,000 Syrians who have crossed the southern Syria border. A third refugee camp east of Amman opened last year to help take some pressure off of Zaatari.
