Prepcom 3, the third and last preparatory meeting for the Tunis World Summit on Information Society, is currently in progress in Geneva. La Presse reports that Prepcom 1 was held in Hammamet in June 2004 and Prepcom 2 took place in Geneva in February 2005.
Prepcom 3, which will run until September 30 in Geneva, is hosting government representatives of various countries, UN representatives and members of NGO’s. The main topic of the Prepcom 3 agenda is the program of the activities for the World Summit on Information Society envisaged to be held in Tunisia on November 16-18.
