"Pregnancy of Shame" is the heading of a new book by Soumaya Naamane Guessous and Chakib Guessous, published with Fennec Editions. The 240-page book, which was written in collaboration with the Female Solidarity Association, chaired by Mrs. Aicha Ech-Chenna, presents a detailed survey on the situation of unmarried mothers and abandoned children in Morocco.
The book, reports <i>EMarrakech</i>, strives to reveal one of the most hidden faces of Moroccan society and to encourage further awareness of and sensitivity to their situation, both among public officials and among the Moroccan civil society.
The Female Solidarity Association has been working for the last twenty years to improve the conditions of woman and children in Morocco.
