pepsi donates medicine to amman municipality
In an initiative that aims at fostering public private partnerships, Pepsi donated medicines to the Greater Amman Municipality late last month.
Pepsi's General Manager Tareq Al Sakka presented the medicines during a visit to GAM premises. Al-Sakka was welcomed by Amman Mayor Eng. Omar Al Ma’ani and a number of the municipality’s officials. Nicola Billeh Pepsi's Staffing Manager and Mohammed Arabiyat Pepsi's Public Relations Manager were also present.
Pepsi’s donation comes as part of an annual initiative it carries out to support the municipality employees and provide them with their need of medicines.
On this occasion, Tareq Al Sakka, General Manager at “Pepsi” stated: “We are committed towards our local community; we highly value the role GAM plays in regards to serving the country and hope that by supporting its employees we support all the good work they do." He added: “We at “Pepsi” spare no effort in social initiatives that aim at strengthening our positive and effective role towards the society."
Omar Al Ma’ani Amman Mayor commented: “We are extremely delighted with Pepsi’s initiative. This support that comes from a major local company reflects their deep understanding of their roles and responsibilities towards their community. This kind gesture supports and motivates us to work harder in serving our country and our people."
