PCF signs agreement with CMCS for distributor rights to its LinearPlus software
Primavera customers in the Middle East will have total project visualisation, improving their decision-making abilities
PCF Limited, a leading supplier of project management visualisation software in the UK, today announced a distributor agreement for its LinearPlus software with Collaboration Management and Control Solutions (CMCS), the leading supplier of project, portfolio and risk management solutions in the Middle East, via its link with global partner Primavera Systems Inc. CMCS will offer the smart business solution across all its distribution points in the Middle East.
PCF developed LinearPlus to visualise project data for civil engineering projects such as railways, roads, power lines, tunnels, waterways, pipelines and high rise buildings using a proven technique known as ‘Time Chainage’ charts. Using the PCF-generated technology, engineering and planning professionals have access to high-quality management information—allowing them to reduce cost, save time and improve project performance.
Mike Johnston, Director of PCF, said: “Civil engineering projects generally take place in worksites with restricted access. In this environment, planners must pay particular attention to the physical restrictions associated with worksites in addition to the normal constraints imposed by activity sequencing and resource availabilities. Traditional planning tools cannot display where activities are taking place, neither do they take account of any location-related constraints when performing a time analysis. Time Chainage charts were developed specifically to resolve this problem.”
CMCS has added LinearPlus and Primavera Inspire to its diverse portfolio. With these recent product additions, CMCS plans to address the current and complex business needs of this fast growing market.
Bassam Samman, CEO and Founder of CMCS, said: “We are delighted to be able to introduce this solution to this increasingly dynamic market. Using LinearPlus, our clients are able to gain a deeper insight into their projects and use graphics to explore alternative solutions to ‘what-if’ scenarios, leading to better scheduling and cost performance.”
