The Palestinian Journalists Union in Gaza has condemned recent reports made by the American Fox network, which claimed that Palestinian fighters wore journalism badges and used their cars to carry out their missions.

According to a statement issued by the Union, these reports are in the framework of a vicious campaign by Israeli forces to justify their crimes against journalists, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The statement added that the Israeli forces are still arresting and firing at journalists to prevent them from doing their job, warning that "American media is taking part in espionage operations and aggressively portraying a wrong image of Palestinians."

In addition, it said that the methods used by American media are aimed "at terrifying reporters from doing their duties of exposing the Israeli massacres against the unarmed Palestinians."

The statement urged the international community to interfere and end the occupying forces’ massacres and their abuse of journalists.

The Palestinian Journalists Union also asked all Palestinians with cameras to photograph and document all Israeli crimes, which reporters cannot do. (Albawaba.com)
